Quartermaster Literature and Doctrine

Find Quartermaster publications and supporting references by number and title. Compare Army source records, check versions and keep useful task links together.

Find and compare Quartermaster references

Use this directory to identify Quartermaster publications and supporting training records before checking their Army sources. The list includes field manuals, Army techniques publications, technical manuals, training aids, soldier manuals, task lists and training modules. Titles cover supply, field feeding, petroleum, water, field services and aerial delivery. This is a mixed reference index, not a statement that every entry is current doctrine or suitable for the same audience.

Identify the exact product

Begin with the complete publication number and title. Keep prefixes, volume numbers and change labels in your notes: ATP 4-41 and ATTP 4-41 are separate entries, while the TM 4-48 series contains many differently numbered subjects. For soldier manuals and task lists, also match the MOS, skill level or named audience. A familiar subject phrase alone is not enough to identify the intended reference.

Compare records with similar titles

Several titles have more than one destination. ATP 4-42.2, for example, appears with different catalog records, a file link and an unlinked label. Compare those records individually; a matching title does not make their destinations interchangeable. A catalog page may provide context for a file, while an unlinked label provides a search starting point. Neither link presence nor absence establishes a document’s access or distribution status.

The Army Publishing Directorate index covers departmental publications and forms, including current and obsolete records. For publications within that scope, compare the number and status shown by the official record. For modules or other training products, check the destination’s own title, audience and date information. Follow its access instructions and document markings, and record unresolved differences rather than guessing which version applies.

Connect references to your task search

Use the ArmyTEO catalog to find related task records by number, title or MOS/AOC. Save useful records individually, then return to Saved tasks in the same browser. Saving keeps a shortlist; it does not download a document, verify its currency or grant access. Keep the source URL and date checked with your reference notes.
