Military Police Literature/Doctrine

Find Military Police doctrine, manuals and training-aid references. Match full publication identifiers, then check editions and official source access.

Find and check Military Police references

Use this directory to locate Military Police publications and supporting references by full number, title, and format. It brings together Army techniques publications, field manuals, technical material, graphic training aids, and a training-plan reference. The list includes several publication families and different labels for similar subjects. Its entries help you identify a source to check; they do not establish that every edition is current or applicable to your assignment.

Keep the publication prefix and format

Keep the publication prefix with the number. For example, ATP 3-39.10 and ATTP 3-39.10 appear with different titles in this list, so searching only 3-39.10 can hide an important distinction. Retain change wording and volume numbers as well. Format can also matter: GTA 19-01-001A and GTA 19-01-001B are separately labeled chart and card versions of the Military Police Code of Ethics. Keep both identifiers when matching a requested reference.

Check the official record and edition

Search the Army Publishing Index using the complete publication number or title. Compare its status and date fields with the official record and the document’s cover, including any change or supersession information. Do not assume that an older FM or ATTP has been replaced simply because an ATP with a related number appears nearby. Resolve the relationship through the issuing source.

Some titles have both direct-file and catalog destinations. These remain separate routes, and a catalog may provide context that a file link lacks. Follow the destination’s access instructions and check document markings before sharing. Unlinked titles are retained as reference entries; their lack of a hyperlink does not establish a particular release status.

Connect the publication with its task

For task-specific research, search the ArmyTEO catalog using the exact task number and keep supporting publication details alongside it. The Training Management Directorate describes the role of T&EOs in identifying task performance and proficiency standards. Compare the task’s references with the publication record instead of treating this directory as a substitute for either source.

Use Save task for catalog records you expect to revisit. Your shortlist stays in the same browser; saving does not verify document currency, synchronize across devices, or grant access.
