Military Intelligence Literature/Doctrine

Find Military Intelligence publications, task lists and audio references. Match identifiers and audience, then check editions and source access.

Find and check Military Intelligence references

Use this directory to identify Military Intelligence references by full publication number, audience, and format. The list combines doctrine, individual critical task lists (ICTLs), audiobooks, course-related material, training aids, and planning memoranda. Those entries serve different purposes. A shared subject or familiar title does not establish that two records are interchangeable, current, or appropriate for the same reader.

Match the publication, audience and format

Keep the publication prefix as part of the identifier. ADP 2-0, ADRP 2-0, and FM 2-0 are separate labels in this directory; an audiobook is also a distinct format. For the AOC 35D ICTL entries, retain the rank wording: LT, CPT, and MAJ are listed separately. Match the requested audience and product type with the issuing source instead of relying on a broad search for “intelligence.”

Compare the official record and edition

The Army Publishing Index supports searches by full number or title and filters for status and date. Compare the official record with the document cover, change information, and any effective-date wording. This directory retains different FM 2-22.3 labels, including “effective on” and “effective until” the same date. Check those details at the source; the directory does not resolve the edition relationship for you.

The Intelligence Knowledge Network’s Doctrinal References page provides another official starting point with publication numbers, dates, and Army Publishing Directorate links. Use the publication record at the destination to confirm the edition you need rather than treating a reading list’s date as a continuing currency guarantee.

Keep the reference with its task

For task-specific research, search the ArmyTEO catalog with the exact task number and keep its supporting-publication details together. Use Save task on catalog records you expect to revisit; the homepage’s Open saved tasks shortcut returns to the same browser’s shortlist. Saved lists do not synchronize across devices or verify document currency.

Source links may open a file or a catalog record. Follow the destination’s access instructions and check document markings before sharing. Unlinked titles remain reference entries, not an independently verified release classification. ArmyTEO membership does not grant access to separate Army systems.
