Finance Literature/Doctrine

Find Finance and Comptroller publications and training references. Compare product types, identifiers and editions, then check official sources and access.

Find and compare Finance references

Start with the product type as well as the subject when using this Finance directory. The list includes ATPs, a field manual, a graphic training aid, a training circular, a CPX in a Box user guide and Finance and Comptroller training support packages. These entries do not all serve the same purpose. A guide or training package should not be mistaken for a publication with a similar topic.

Keep identifiers and source variants separate

Keep the complete identifier and the wording that distinguishes an entry. FM 1-06 appears as both an unlinked title and a linked record, with different capitalization. Both are retained so you can compare the source information. The presence of the same publication number does not establish that two listings provide the same edition or access route.

Check the right official record

The Army Publishing Directorate overview explains that its publication search includes current and obsolete departmental records. For an ATP, FM, GTA or TC, compare the official publication number, title and status with the document you intend to reference. For the user guide and training support packages, check the originating catalog or product record and any edition or date information supplied there.

Read the specific subject before choosing a reference. Personal financial readiness, internal controls and other Finance subjects appear as different titles in this short list. The branch name alone does not identify the reference you need. A working link does not certify currency or public-release status, and an unlinked title does not prove restriction. Follow the source’s access requirements and document markings.

Connect references to saved tasks

Use the ArmyTEO catalog to find related task records by complete number, title or MOS/AOC. Save useful records individually and return to Saved tasks in the same browser. Saving keeps a shortcut, not a copy of the document or a permission to access it. Keep the source URL, version details and date checked in your own reference notes.
