Field Artillery Literature/Doctrine

Find Field Artillery doctrine, training publications and task lists. Match full identifiers and skill levels, then check versions and source access.

Find and check Field Artillery references

Use this directory to identify Field Artillery publications and supporting references by full number, title, and intended audience. It brings together doctrine, individual critical task lists (ICTLs), graphic training aids, a course reference, and a training-plan update. These are different kinds of material. Start by deciding whether you need a publication, a task list, or information about a training product.

Keep the prefix, audience and change wording

Keep the prefix with the publication number. ATP 3-09.12 and FM 3-09.12 are separate entries here; a number-only search can mix their records. This list also retains two FM 3-09 titles and several older FM 6-series labels. Similar subjects or matching number fragments do not prove that editions are interchangeable or that one has replaced another. Retain any change wording when recording a citation.

Check the issuing source and edition

Search the Army Publishing Index using the complete number or title, then compare the official record’s status and date with the document cover and incorporated changes. For the MOS 13R ICTL entries, compare the specialty wording and listed skill level: this directory includes SL1, SL2, and SL4 records. Do not silently substitute one audience’s task list for another.

The official Fires Center of Excellence site includes a Directorate of Training and Doctrine section with contact information. Use that official starting point when the issuing organization or identity of a training product remains unclear. A proponent page and a publication record answer different questions; check the specific document record for its edition and access requirements.

Connect the publication with a task

Search the ArmyTEO catalog by exact task number to keep a task record with its supporting-publication details. Use Save task on records you plan to revisit, then return through the homepage’s Open saved tasks shortcut. The shortlist stays in the same browser and does not verify currency or synchronize across devices.

Links may open a catalog or a file, and some titles remain unlinked. Neither presentation establishes release status. Follow the destination’s access instructions and check document markings before sharing. An ArmyTEO account does not grant access to separate Army systems.
