Engineer Literature/Doctrine

Find Engineer doctrine, technical manuals and task-list references. Check specialty, skill level, publication versions and official source access.

Find and check Engineer references

Use this directory to find Engineer reference material by specialty, skill level, and subject. The list brings together individual critical task lists (ICTLs), doctrine, technical manuals, graphic training aids, and training support packages. It includes construction, prime power, geospatial, and environmental references alongside older publication titles. These entries are starting points for source checks, not a complete or uniformly current Engineer library.

Match the specialty and publication identifier

Match the identifier before opening a reference. For an ICTL, compare the MOS or additional skill identifier, skill level, and any version wording. For example, this list distinguishes 12H30 from 12H40 and includes a separate 12N10 entry labeled Version 2. For a publication, retain its prefix and full number: ATP 3-34.22 and TM 3-34.22 identify different subjects. A matching number without the prefix is not enough.

Check the official record and version

Search the Army Publishing Index by full publication number or title. Use its status and date fields to narrow the results, then compare the official record with the document’s cover, publication date, and incorporated changes. Fort Leonard Wood’s Engineer Doctrine Corner also provides publication and revision information. Check the publisher’s record before treating an older title as replaced or assuming a planned revision has already been published.

Connect the reference to a task

If you need a specific task, search the ArmyTEO catalog by exact task number or a narrow title, then compare the result with the Army source and applicable T&EO. Keep the task identifier and supporting publication details together. Use Save task for catalog records you expect to revisit; the shortlist stays in the same browser and does not verify currency or grant document access.

Source links may open a catalog record or a file. Different destinations under the same title remain separate. Unlinked titles are reference entries, not release-status labels. Read the destination’s access instructions and document markings before using or sharing material; this page does not independently certify each item’s release status.
